COP26: What is it and why does it matter?

COP26 is the 26^th annual UN summit taking place in Glasgow and bringing together almost every country on earth to tackle climate change. COP stands for ‘Conference of the Parties’ and this year the summit is more crucial than ever as the future of the planet and of humanity depend on the actions that our world leaders take now.

COP26 goals

The four aims of the conference are:

1. Secure global net zero by mid-century and keep 1.5 degrees within reach

2. Adapt to protect communities and natural habitats

3. Mobilise finance

4. Work together to deliver

How can you get involved?
