  • People attending nightclubs and other venues where large crowds gather in England will need to be fully vaccinated from the end of September (this will likely include our Freshers Fair events and night-time programme)
  • Following government advice, here at The Students’ Union we strongly suggest getting both vaccinations for the start of September, this will allow you to attend all of our fantastic Welcome events
  • We urge international students and those unable to receive the vaccine to get in touch so we can assess how best to navigate these new proposals
  • Chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance said nightclubs and other such venues could be ‘potential super spreading events’ because of crowds in close contact
  • COVID-19 vaccinations will not be compulsory for university lectures or other academic sessions
