About me 

I am third year Diagnostic Radiography student and your new Glenside Student Officer! Glenside is our wonderful healthcare campus shared amongst our lovely students who spend most of their studies learning and honing their skills on the welfare of others but sadly to say, our campus is often overlooked and our own wellness is taken for granted.

 

I was a first year Student Rep for my cohort and have been in the student council for two years consecutively fighting for Glenside’s ever silent voice. I have joined in events, meetings or simple meet-up with students to receive feedback on how to improve Glenside and relayed it back to The Students’ Union at Frenchay, where my opinion is easiest to get attention from and it shouldn’t be that way.

 

Glenside’s student experience, in my eyes, should not have to be travelling to Frenchay Campus for the basic things that is considered luxury to us such as a 24/7 open library, double screen monitors, shops, and events that matter to us. I will use this position to boost my statement for our campus’ behalf to even further heights than I previously have.

 

What am I working on? 

• Ensuring that at Glenside we will have the same comfort and equipment that Frenchay already has by starting with the basics.
• Ensuring we have more events which are course related or simply to relax, especially with the stresses we face, have it been in lectures or placements.
• Taking voices of Glenside students more seriously to ensure we receive more effort and care. So, let’s start the process to shed some light onto our campus and, bring more life to Glenside!
