About me 

I'm a 3rd year Media Communications (Campaigns Pathway) student. I ran for this position because my sexuality and gender are essential parts of who I am, and working with and supporting students is incredible. I have experience directly with activism, including in October 2021 when I attended a protest in response to the BBC's transphobia. 

 

What will you get?

• A continuation celebration of LGBT+ History and other Pride Month events. 
• Future freshers pack to include a rainbow lanyard and LGBT+ specific support & information sources. 

 

What am I working on?

• Creating a framework that will allow for the transphobic, homophobic etc., incidents, however minor they may feel, to be reported. 
• Working with the LGBT+ Society to celebrate queer culture throughout the academic year.
